THE UNWRITTEN LOVE LETTER

CHAPTER 4: WISHING UPON THE STAR THAT
YOU’LL BE MINE

I asked Alex with whom he had fallen in love with. He promised to reveal her name when he confessed his feelings to her. Noah began to hold a special place in my heart as time passed. I cherished every moment spent with him. I decided to confess my feelings to him after our graduation. Anticipating the day was like waiting for rain in the summer.

Noah adored art, so I learned to paint illusion portraits. His little compliments meant so much to me. I treasured staying every day by his side. Alex and Noah were always there for me when I was down. Noah taught me not to give up and I progressed in my academics.

Noah, Alex, Joe, Mavis, and I became close friends after the tour. Joe and Mavis decided to get married after we graduated. Joe aspired to be an entrepreneur, but he lacked the necessary funds. Mavis didn't let go of him in the stressful situation. She assisted him in collecting his funding. Joe and Mavis merged their funds to start their startup company

I expressed my desire to sing to my friends. Alex was the lead guitarist in our college band. Joe informed me that our institution was organizing a music fiesta. Mavis invited me to participate in one of the fiesta's contests since it seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to showcase my talent. He explained to me the two levels of the contest. The first level will be an individual round and the second one will be a duo singing round. Partners will be paired for the duo singing round based on their scores.

I mustered up the courage to sing in front of 300 people for the first time. Alex and Noah were rooting for me behind the stage. I made it to the second round. Noah embraced me in delight. I was out of breath for a moment. Alex and Joe were happy for me. I had one day to prepare for the second round. I was paired with a person from another department. We couldn't meet because of our prior commitments, but we communicated through email. He chose the song for our duet. We exchanged our recorded parts to make practice easier. He had a really deep and husky voice. There is no wonder, he qualified for the first level.

We eventually met in person before our performance. I wore a plum-shaded maxi with silver peep-toe heels. He wore a wine-red shirt with cream pants. We outperformed our expectations. I was hoping to win first place, but we ended up winning second place. It was both our first and final meeting. I was delighted to share the stage with him.

Noah taught me how to sketch realistic portraits. In exchange for teaching me, he wanted me to give him my first painting. Every minute with him felt like a fairytale in the reality. I thought I'd found my Romeo. I prepared two paintings to gift him while confessing my feelings. Alex behaved like a different person when Noah was around. I could see Alex was bothered by something.

I began to study harder to match his grades. He transformed me into an entirely different person. Alex and I were sneaking around our favorite spot on the day of our graduation. Alex appeared nervous. I inquired about what bothered him. He informed me that it was time for you to relinquish your throne, my queen. His comments made me speechless. I realized that the princess will be arriving soon in his life. He was going to propose to the love of his life. I had no clue who it was.

He asked me to meet him later beneath the willow tree. I couldn't decide whether confessing my feelings to him was the appropriate thing to do. The willow tree danced to the rhythm of nature. Love was in the air. I was waiting near the willow tree when I noticed Noah and Alex approaching from both ways. Noah was holding a floral bouquet. Alex held a small box that looked like a ring box.
Alex rushed over to me and hugged me. Alex's eyes were filled with tears. He got down on his knees and opened the ring box. I was completely perplexed by his actions. He was fooling around. The box was empty. "She said yes, Steph," he exclaimed. I leaped out of joy and asked him who it was. He glanced at the girl who was approaching us.

It was Everly. She was Alex’s childhood sweetheart, but I couldn't believe he had been waiting for her for 12 years. I remembered Everly being one of the few classmates who raised their hand during the truth or dare game. We got new love birds in our class. Everly's face was glowing with glee. I was happy for both of them. I asked Everly if she was already in love with Alex.

Her cheeks turned red. She mentioned that she began to like him because of the way he looked after me. I reminded Alex to be grateful to the queen because she was the reason he got his princess. I told them that I had decided to surrender my throne and declared Everly as the queen of Alex’s heart. I left the place with a smile.

Noah was walking towards us, wearing a merigold T-shirt and white straight pants, his eyes brimming with love, and nervousness on his face, striving to get closer to us. His expression was a bizarre mix of anxiety, dread, and excitement. I've never seen him like this before. He couldn't stand looking at me. He appeared to be both nervous and confident. His hands were trembling as he struggled to talk in front of us.

The girl was curious whether Noah had feelings for Stephany. He flipped through the pages of the diary to see if Noah had proposed to Steph.
